Beginners Yoga

Beginners yoga classes are suitable if you have never done yoga before, if you have a health consideration and need postures to be adapted using props or a chair.  This is a fun and friendly class.

We start classes with shaking and movements to some lively music to warm up the body and get the joints mobile, muscles warm and circulation going.

After a brief standing meditation, we then move onto energy block releases which involves simple flowing movements with a spinal focus and mindfulness before doing some postures with breathing techniques

We always end our classes with a deep relaxation.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is Yoga Sleep as is a powerful practice that guides you through to your inner senses in a relaxed, subconscious state on your back and controls your relaxation responses.  Your entire body, mind and nervous system receives complete rest.

This is a wonderful class if you suffer from insomnia or struggle to stay asleep at night.

Generally there are no Yoga postures other than Shavasana which is lying on your back.

However I do give the option to do some seated Fascia stretches to release neck and shoulder tension before the classes start.
